The Copperhead BRS is a high-precision turntable with a CNC-machined 6061 solid aluminium plinth, diamond-cut aluminium platter, fully independent motor housing and external speed regulator. Designed for stable playback and accurate rotational control, it is supplied with the Aeshna 9.5 tonearm and can be configured with an optional second arm socket.
The Copperhead-BRS is designed for precision, stability and controlled analogue playback. Its CNC-machined 6061 solid aluminium plinth uses an acrylic disc sandwich for resonance control, while the solid aluminium platter is diamond-cut on the top side and contoured on the underside to dissipate vibration.
The central bearing is a two-piece solid stainless steel construction with a copper bushing, ceramic ball bearing and Teflon thrust plate. Silicone dampening rings between the bearing and aluminium platter further support resonance control, while the bearing itself sits in a 20 mm acrylic anti-vibration disc to isolate it from the plinth.
The Copperhead BRS comes standard with a fully independent motor supply in a 1.8 kg block aluminium housing. The motor is regulated by an a new and improved German designed AC regenerating circuit, allowing fine adjustment/pitch control for an accurate and stable 33.3 rpm and 45 rpm operation. The separate motor housing is machined from a solid block of aluminium and dampened with a silicone gel and utilizes a 9V low-torque motor with a custom POM machined pulley.
Also standard is the Aeshna 9.5 tonearm. Designed for accurate tracking and flexible cartridge matching, the Aeshna 9.5 uses ceramic ball race horizontal bearing technology, a steel knife vertical bearing and selectable arm wand options in carbon fibre or aluminium for the Copperhead-X configuration.
The Copperhead BRS can also be fitted with a second optional arm socket for other manufacturers’ tonearms up to 10.5 inches.
