The Mahone is a high-quality tonearm cable carefully designed and manufactured using fine-strand OCC copper coated in a PE dielectric. All four cores are evenly matched with identical conductor count and size, supporting consistent signal transfer throughout the cable construction.

The cores are tightly twisted and followed by a Mylar/copper drain for excellent EMI/RFI rejection. This construction helps the Mahone maintain a clean and controlled signal path while preserving the natural character of the performance.

New to the 1877Phono lineup, the Mahone provides crystal clear transfer, portraying jazz vocals controlled but natural and presenting classical performances with all the depth and diversity the composer intended.

Like all 1877Phono cable products, the Mahone goes through a dedicated ultrasonic cleaning process. During this process, the raw copper is passed through a specially treated water bath that removes dirt, oil, particles and surface impurities from the conductor. This ultrasonic bath also has the added unique effect of giving the cable a pre-burn sound that could otherwise take hundreds of hours to achieve through normal use.
