Like all 1877Phono cable products, the Prima-MKII goes through an ultrasonic cleaning process. During this process, the raw copper is passed through a supercharged water bath to remove dirt, oil, residue and impurities from the surface of the wire. This ultrasonic bath also has the added effect of giving the cable a pre-burn sound that could otherwise take hundreds of hours to achieve through normal use.

Prima-MKII uses cryo-treated bare conductor before extrusion. It is fitted with newly designed copper BFA connectors using a Delrin socket insulator with 6061 aluminium barrels.
